About Us
The Government of Goa is the governing authority of the Indian state of Goa. It consists of an executive, led by the Governor of Goa, a judiciary and a legislative branch. The capital city is Panaji (Panjim). The current Chief Minister is Pramod Sawant who was sworn in on 19 March 2019 after Manohar Parrikar's death. The government works to promote economic growth through investment promotion schemes such as VGFs and IT parks; it also provides social welfare services like health care, education and housing for all citizens. Additionally, it has taken steps towards environmental protection with initiatives like waste management projects and tree plantation drives.
